The Amalfi Coast has always been an exclusive tourist destination: as early as the 1950s some of Hollywood's most prominent stars came here to spend their vacations, enchanted by the place and all it offered: great food, breathtaking views, boat tours on the crystal clear sea, Moda Positano...
Over the course of time, the Divine Coast has maintained this role as the favorite destination of the international jet set, and every year, in fact, dozens of VIPs are photographed here, intent on enjoying the beauty that surrounds them.
Obviously, with the advent of mass tourism, the tourist offerings on the Coast have expanded greatly, giving everyone access to all kinds of services and hotels. Among these, however, there are some that stand out as really exclusive destinations, where you can have real VIP experiences. If you wish to find the right one for you and you want to spend truly unique days, keep reading the article!

The Coast seen from the sea
1. A night in a 5-star hotel
Let's start with the most immediate choice: booking a night in one of the many 5-star hotels on the Coast.
Staying overnight in these hotels is truly a luxury experience: not only are the facilities incredibly beautiful, in strategic locations on the Coast, but the services offered there are all of the highest standard. Some have infinity pools overhanging the sea or private beaches, others true spas, and some even house starred restaurants inside (scroll down if you want to learn more).
Let's start with one of the most renowned hotels with the most unique history: the Santa Rosa Monastery in Conca dei Marini. The structure, an ancient monastery dating back to the 17th century, spans 4 levels and features panoramic gardens, as well as one of the most iconic infinity pools on the entire Amalfi Coast.
Another first-rate choice is Palazzo Avino in Ravello. It originates in the historic Palazzo Sasso, an ancient 12th-century noble residence. The furnishings are fine and cared for down to the smallest detail; moreover, from here there is an unparalleled view of the Gulf and access to an exclusive Beach Club in the Marmorata resort.
Also in Ravello is another truly sumptuous hotel: this is the Caruso, housed in an 11th-century palace and decorated with period frescoes and vaulted ceilings. Here too you will find a spectacular infinity pool, right at the highest point in Ravello!
This list cannot miss a property in Positano, the most luxurious village on the entire Coast: the Treville! The likes of Coco Chanel, Maria Callas, and Elizabeth Taylor have stayed here: perched on one of Positano's rock walls, the hotel offers spectacular views of the sea, hidden terraces housing tropical plants, and lush gardens.
In short, whatever you choose you can be sure that you will be satisfied with the experience: it will be like living a daydream!

2. A lunch or dinner at a starred restaurant
Are you looking for a suitable place to celebrate a special occasion or surprise someone you love? Well, how about trying a Michelin-starred restaurant on the Amalfi Coast? Restaurants that manage to get the coveted Michelin star have distinguished themselves for the quality of their dishes and are therefore rewarded for the excellence of the dining experience they offer. You can find a few on the Amalfi Coast, too: in addition to excellent cuisine, they are also often located in positions of unparalleled beauty! Here are a few suggestions.
“Il Flauto di Pan” is the restaurant of the Villa Cimbrone hotel in Ravello, considered one of the most romantic and exclusive in Italy. Chef Lorenzo Montoro's cuisine is based on seasonality and the quality of products, chosen daily by the chef himself and his team.
Meanwhile, in Positano, Chef Savio Perna runs the Hotel Villa Franca's Li Galli restaurant with great talent. The menu is innovative but at the same time faithful to the traditions of Campanian cuisine; moreover, the view from the terrace, which overlooks Positano's Spiaggia Grande (Great Beach), is simply mind-blowing.
Finally, in Amalfi, you can have a truly immersive experience at the gourmet restaurant “Glicine,” belonging to the Santa Caterina Hotel. Chef Giuseppe Stanzione brings together passion and technique to create a cuisine of great balance and intense flavors. This venue, too, is elegantly furnished and overlooks the sea with large windows.
If you are looking for an experience where taste goes hand in hand with the enchantment of the place around you, check out these restaurants! In the box below you will find all the useful links.

3. A day at a Spa
Sometimes you may feel the need to unplug and dedicate some time to yourself and your well-being: in such cases, what could be better than a day at the spa? Here I suggest a few spas on the Amalfi Coast: you will see that after staying there you will feel like a new person!
Some of the hotels I mentioned in the 1st paragraph also give you access to very luxurious spas: the one at the Santa Rosa Monastery preserves the original stone walls and barrel ceilings, a Turkish bath, loungers, relaxation rooms and terraced gardens.
Still, Hotel Caruso's spa is one of the most exclusive on the Coast. Surrounded by nature and the scent of flowers and lemons, here you can enjoy botanical treatments for the health of body, mind and soul.
Another spa housed in a unique location is that of the Anantara Hotel, a former convent in Amalfi overlooking the sea, where the monks' former quarters have been renovated in the name of luxury. Here, too, you can have access to the hammam, the Turkish bath, and have the option of indulging in couples treatments.
In short, all these facilities have one thing in common: they offer relaxation of the highest standard!

4. A private boat ride with lunch or aperitivo
On the Amalfi Coast, luxury is not only on land, but also on the open sea! There are several companies that allow you to set off on small, elegant yachts with all the comforts, so you can admire the breathtaking view of the Coast from the sea and in the meantime enjoy a lunch or an Italian aperitivo. If you are looking for such an experience, I suggest you take a look at the many possibilities offered by Premium Boat Charter. You will be able to choose the type of private boat to use, what to do on board, the places to visit, and decide whether to spend only a few hours or whole days there: in short, the whole experience is customizable and absolutely phenomenal!

5. A day at an exclusive beach club
If you love the sea and sunbathing, you will surely appreciate the experience of spending a day at an exclusive beach club. On the Amalfi Coast you can find some truly unique ones, where you will be pampered by the staff and where you can enjoy the sun and crystal clear water in an atmosphere of total serenity and relaxation. Here are some tips for you!
The Arienzo beach club is one of the best known on the Coast. Close to the center of Positano, it can be reached via 300 steps or by sea, leaving right from the port with a convenient shuttle service. It is a secluded and well-kept club and offers a wide selection of cocktails, wines, and champagnes, as well as the possibility of dining on site.
Another good alternative is the Riva Beach Club at Giardini del Fuenti, between Vietri sul Mare and Cetara. The private beach is accessible directly from the Giardini, but can also be reached by sea. Here, too, guests can choose between a restaurant and Beach Delivery service, and they can decide to use a cabana (a kind of luxury hut located right on the beach) or an umbrella with sunbeds.
Also in Positano is another private and exclusive club: the Scogliera. As the name itself anticipates, the solarium stretches over a cliff overlooking the sea, equipped with all amenities. In addition, to ensure peace of mind for all guests, no children are allowed.
